It has been a while since a very tearful girl reflected on the sad passing of two greats, the ending of the storyline of a Coronation Street Character outlining Motor Neurone Disease, and the realisation of how that must affect one of the best teachers that I ever had.
I have been rather busy, with meetings, planning and preparing for the arrival of Advent! It is just 7 weeks away! 12 until we sing Ye Lord We Greet Thee. I amongst others are looking forward yet again to the festivities, the descants, all of the other music, the mince pies, and for one fabulous family that I have recently met "Flickmas"
My diary is slightly open to suggestions for this year, but already, I am looking for a weekend "off" that may be no nearer than January!
Currently, most of the time behind the desk is preparing 2024's THE ADVENT STORY (x2)
This year, TWO deanery services at two Wellingborough churches, sharing The Advent Story together. So, Here I go, adjusting the service that I wrote last year, making a few improvements, making a few different music choices to freshen it up. Advertising, Putting together a Choir of singers from both near and far, etc etc etc.
If I have sent this to you because you are a singer and you want to sing! Please let me know sharpish!!

But most importantly, Tell your friends! Tell your neighbours! Lets fill churches, fill choir stalls, and share the special story together!
It is unlikely that I will get many opportunities to write to you for a while, as I am already also thinking about my next project; another "WhatsApp Worship" series for this Christmastide. I will be after some volunteers for recordings very soon! Hope this more Autumnal time is treating those well, and for those whom are struggling with Illness, we wish you well!
