I’ve probably said this many times in my blogs, but writing “The Title” of a piece of writing describing all the various thoughts, feelings, and going’s on in my busy life, is often impossible!
Maybe the “Advent” theme fits, but to the rest…. Maybe not!
For those that don’t know, EVERLASTING GOD is a gospel song written by Brenton Brown and Chris Tomlin, and I came across this during my brief stint worshiping at a local Baptist Church.
In the hunt for this blogs title, this song comes to mind!
Advent 2024 was busy. Too busy. But 2025 will have more even more! I shall prepare better next year!
After much hard work and effort, THE ADVENT STORY went ahead, and went very well!
I assembled a choir of about 25 friends and neighbours from other churches, who sang beautifully! We were very blessed to have Tom Moore on the Organ, I even got a picture with The Rural Dean of Wellingborough!!
Once these services had been and gone. It was “Christmas All The Way”
I have spent my Monday afternoons since September, at School.
The choir were first working on a service of Remembrance, for the 11th, and then it was Christmas all the way too,
Not one, but TWO services of NINE LESSONS AND CAROLS. Firstly at St Gregory’s Church then at St Peter’s Weston.
Delightful occasions, working alongside Carole, Helen and others! We even managed to get staff singing Christmas carols during Lunchtime!!
Now that I’ve only got one bar shift, and one service to go, it’s time to reflect, look ahead to 2025.
Unfortunately reflecting isn’t always a good thing.
This year, I have struggled with a few health issues. I don’t like to make a fuss, I tend to just battle on.
But Acid Reflux seems to be ruling my life. My ability to sing has gone. Getting up in the mornings include an onslaught of coughing. This is if I’ve even got a good night of kip in the first place.
It’s now time for me to sort it out. Eating last thing at night is probably the worst thing!!
For 2025 I need to listen to my body, live a better lifestyle.
Sad times ahead as I step away from some of the things I love doing the most,
But needs must!!
CHRISTMAS 2024 I will be found at St Barnabas Wellingborough for Midnight. And at some time during the festivities, I will be sharing the usual “WhatsApp Worship”
IT STILL TELLS THE STORY:
Music will be expected appropriate words, but Tunes may surprise you!
The Story: told in different words to what you’ll hear in church.
And at the close, Vivaldi’s Gloria, recorded by myself, Loz Glover and Clare Hollingshurst, back in the Covid pandemic!!
Who’d think that this year will be 5 years since the start of all of that!! I began Audio Producing back then, and maybe, here is where it ends.
Whatever 2024 has held
I’m Grateful
Whatever happens in 2025
I’m Hopeful
And for those Friends, Family and Supporters who have been there and supported me
