Welcome!
Those of you, who know me well, know how much I love my Church Music, How much time and effort I put into it and how much joy and comfort it brings!
Sunday 23rd April 2017, I began my very first Director of Music post, at All Saints' Church in Wellingborough, I had so much fun in the 5 and a half years I spent at the helm, I had the most wonderful community around me too.
Now as I take a break from full time Church Music, I have been pondering how it is that I can share my worship in Church Music. How I can continue to reel off composition after composition copyrighting it and sharing it formally as Harrison Cook Music. (It has been recommended that for Legal Reasons, that I should (C) my work under a legitimate legal name at all times)
I finally had that eureka moment, that setting up Church Music with Ellie, both gives me an opportunity to share my music with you, worship with you, but also in a way that it has the formalities, it keeps the works available (once I get time to fully update it) and it recognises ME too.
And.... I even get to blog about it!!
Over Easter, I did some recording of some Easter Day numbers, Jesus Christ is Risen Today the Mission Praise Version. Alleluia, Alleluia Give Thanks. of which I managed to throw in a little descant for a couple of Chorus'. Unfortunately, That one is under copyright, so cannot be shared, but I am sure that one day, some soprano's might sing it!
Finishing with Gershwin's Prelude in Bb Major.
Just a bit of fun and cheer for Easter Day 2023...
As I build this new style of site, in a more relaxed more worshipy and more informative way, I'll keep you in the loop as to how I'm keeping my musical mind occupied!
For now though folks,
Take Care!
