GOOD NEWS! - I remembered that it was November!
Sunday past, was the feast of Christ the King. In Weston Favell, we sang some cracking hymns, and God omnipotent reigneth was the Anthem. Delightful.
Then I dashed over to Wellingborough, as it was time to set up for 'The Advent Story' a service that I wrote, put together, stressed about, and delivered!
I had a fantastic group of singers who came and sang with me. We sang a range of Advent hymns, two anthems appropriate for the occasion, including my setting of the 'Magnificat'.
Everyone absolutely loved the service, and the congregation was made up of people who worship at St Mark's regularly, some from Northampton, some from other Wellingborough churches, and even someone from Peterborough!
It was so popular, that I have been asked back do to do another one. Maybe not Advent though... time to get my thinking cap on!
The next morning, I have managed to get TWO more requests from other churches to do 'The Advent Story' in 2024!
Maybe this is starting something big???
I got some thinking to do!!
