"This is the day, the day that 'John Rutter' made'
Last Saturday I had the privilege of singing at the wedding of Kerrie & Andy, where we were requested to sing a piece of music by John Rutter. This is the day. A lovely, jolly piece of music, new to us at St Peter's, but was written for the wedding of William and Kate, way back then! I pitched in with the Tenor part, (mostly!)
We tenors battled against our wrong notes in practice, to sing the best performance yet!
It has been a very busy summer, as I have been on the organ for a month at St Andrews & St Barnabas. I had an amazing time as a visiting musician and friend, because I threw in a few bum notes, a few surprises with nothing but delight and joy from all around!
At the end of the month we said a temporary farewell to an amazing young madam, who's cheek, wit and pure awesomeness has made her extremely well popular and well loved in Wellingborough. She's off to Uni to be more adult! Awesome girl Kayeden, never change!!!
We finished with her favourite hymn, we made her clap her hands, laugh, smile. We even made her wear her scout uniform One last time! We sent her out with JOY!
Away from church music, I have left BCA. (Very spectacularly too) this is what happens when your leadership team start to be dishonest and their integrity comes into question! People leave!! Luckily for me, after a few swift meetings, I have gone to join up with ol' friends and managers from the Good BCA Days, and helped get Connected up and running down at Upper Heyford. Not only have I reunited with some good friends. I've met some pretty awesome people too! All Man-U fans, and one has an amazing name to match her awesome personality! - it's so fun working with this bunch!
I'm also back at The Centre at Mawsley too which is really really great!
So as you'd expect, I'm rather busy, so don't get to keep you updated with the few music projects I am working on! So for now, here is a re-share of a recent Facebook update!
That's all for now folks!
